LCDU Customers:
Due to a major system transition, we are experiencing a delay in generating quarterly billing statements. If you have not yet received your recent billing statement, please be patient as we are diligently working to send them out as soon as possible. Also, please know that the due date on your billing statement is based off the date the statement is generated, and will therefore be adjusted accordingly so that you do not experience any unreasonable burden. We appreciate your continued patience during this transition.
Lake County Residents:
The Lake County Department of Utilities (LCDU) is experiencing an increased volume of calls from customers regarding high bills. The LCDU has not imposed any recent increases to its water or sanitary sewer rates. It is important for residents to know that customers who reside in the western communities of Lake County—Eastlake, Willoughby, Willoughby Hills, Wickliffe, Willowick, and Timberlake—are water customers of the LCDU, and sanitary sewer customers of the respective city in which they reside. The LCDU only serves as a billing service for those communities, and has no authority over any sanitary sewer rate increases they impose. That said, various cities in western Lake County have recently increased their sanitary sewer rates, and customers may experience higher bills based upon those increases. If you reside in any of the previously-mentioned communities and have higher than usual bills, please contact your city to inquire if your sanitary sewer rates have increased.
Also, please note that the LCDU only has authority over the sanitary sewer rates for the communities of Concord, Fairport Harbor, Grand River, Madison, Madison Village, Mentor, Painesville Township, North Perry, Perry Township, and portions of Kirtland.
