Rain Barrels

Ever thought of installing a rain barrel?  Connected to a downspout on your house, a rain barrel would save your rain water for a sunny day.  The water could then be used for watering your garden, grass, or plants.  You will not only save on your water bill, but will also help keep stormwater on your property and prevent stormwater runoff.

Rain Barrels and Workshops

Rain barrels are available for purchase at the Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District for $70.  Rain barrel workshops are also hosted throughout the year, where you will receive all of the parts to complete a barrel and have access to the necessary tools. The cost of these workshops is determined by the location host, typically $60 or $65.
