Morris Beverage III is a lifelong, third-generation resident of Lake County who brings both business experience and a passion for public service to his role as Lake County Commissioner. His family has called Lake County home since the 1950s, when his grandfather, Morris Beverage Sr., moved to Kirtland with his wife, Mary Lou. That strong family connection to the county has shaped his values and his deep commitment to serving the community where he was born and raised. He and his wife, Kerri, live in Perry with their two children.
Commissioner Beverage graduated in the Mentor High School class of 1995, where his impact would lead to his induction into the Mentor High School Alumni Hall of Fame in 2019. He would go on to attend Lakeland Community College, Bowling Green State University, and ultimately Cleveland State University, where he received his Master’s in Business Administration while working with a major financial institution.
Commissioner Beverage is a father and small business owner, and that experience has given him first hand insight into the challenges faced by families, entrepreneurs, and local employers. His professional expertise has been in the financial services industry, advising his clients to achieve their financial goals. Through years of managing and growing a business, he learned the importance of balancing budgets, making thoughtful investments, and ensuring accountability. Additionally, over the last decade-plus, he has been able to infuse over $1,000,000 into local nonprofits through his business, sponsorships, donations, and fundraisers in an effort to address the issues and challenges the people of Lake County face every day.
Beyond the work of governance, Commissioner Beverage believes that public service is about serving those in need, building trust, and keeping government close to the people. He works to ensure that county government is transparent and responsive, with policies that reflect the values and priorities of Lake County residents. As commissioner, he is dedicated to preserving the character that defines Lake County, while working every day to create opportunities for growth, prosperity, and an even better quality of life for everyone who chooses Lake County to be their home.
