During the May 7, 2020 Commissioners Meeting the Board adopted a resolution proclaiming the week of May 3-9, 2020, as National Correctional Officers Week in Lake County. National Correctional Officers week acknowledges the difficult job correctional officers perform, locked within a facility for a large part of their day where they must keep those committed to jail secure and safe, and respect the rights and dignity of all inmates.
