How to Navigate Historical Marriage Records on FamilySearch: Ohio, County Marriage Records



1. Access the Marriage Records Catalog Page

Go to the FamilySearch catalog entry for Ohio marriage records:

This page contains the catalog listing for Ohio County Marriages and provides access to digitized records.

2. Open the Online Marriage Records

  1. Scroll to the Notes section on the catalog page.
  2. Select the link labeled: “Ohio, County Marriages are available online, click here.”

This link redirects you to the searchable database of Ohio marriage records.

3. Search for Marriage Records

Once redirected to the search interface:

  1. Under Life Event, select Marriage.
  2. Enter the City, County, State, Province, or Country where the marriage occurred.
  3. Add the marriage year or date range you want to search.
  4. Click Search to view available records.
