OBTAINING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT

You must complete an absentee application for every election in which you choose to vote by mail. An application can be obtained by selecting the “Printable Absentee Application” link below or by calling the Board of Elections office (440-350-2700) to have the application sent to you by mail.

Returning an Absentee Ballot

*The Board of Elections drop box may be used to return your personal ballot. If you are assisting another voter with the return of a ballot, you MUST see a board of elections official who can provide you with the necessary attestation form*

The following family members can return a voter’s ballot; spouse, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, brother, or sister of the whole or half blood, or the son, daughter, adopting parent, adopted child, stepparent, stepchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece.

A disabled voter may select any person of their choosing to deliver their ballot, other than their employer or an officer in their union.
