You volunteered to participate in the SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) Program. During your SNAP interview, an eligibility worker reviewed your information and determined that participation in SNAP E&T may help you meet program requirements and access employment services.
The SNAP E&T program connects participants with job search assistance, training opportunities, and other employment supports.
If you have questions about your SNAP case or eligibility, you can contact the SNAP E&T Customer Service Hotline: 1-844-640-6446.
OhioMeansJobs provides employment services for SNAP E&T participants. During your appointment, you may complete assessments and receive information about job search services, training opportunities, and other resources that can help you reach your employment goals.
This program is a volunteer program only. If you believe that you were referred to this program in error, please contact the SNAP E&T Customer Service Hotline: 1-844-640-6446.
Beginning November 1, 2025, individuals between the ages of 60 and 64 may be required to complete 80 hours of a SNAP work activity per month unless they qualify for an exemption.
If you believe you may qualify for an exemption or have questions about your case, please contact the SNAP E&T Customer Service Hotline: 1-844-640-6446.
The assessments help staff better understand your skills, interests, and potential employment needs. This information is used to help determine what types of employment services, training, or work activities may be the best fit for you.
Your scores help identify your current skill levels and workplace strengths. They are used to help guide the next steps in the SNAP E&T process and determine what types of employment activities or training opportunities may be recommended for you.
No. Your assessment scores do not affect the amount of SNAP benefits you receive.
If you are required to participate in SNAP E&T and do not complete the assessment, it may affect your ability to continue receiving SNAP benefits after the three months of SNAP benefits allowed within a 36-month period for certain individuals.
If you have questions about your benefits, please contact the SNAP E&T Customer Service Hotline: 1-844-640-6446.
At this time, the assessment is typically completed during a scheduled appointment at OhioMeansJobs so staff can assist you and ensure the process is completed correctly.
Yes. If needed, the assessment can be paused and completed during another visit.
After you complete this assessment, you will receive another appointment notice for a phone interview with a SNAP E&T Social Worker.
During that call, the Social Worker will complete a Comprehensive Assessment with you. After the Comprehensive Assessment is completed, they will discuss next steps and possible employment or training activities.
