Sheriff Frank Leonbruno has 85 Corrections Officers certified in the field of Corrections through the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.  Annually officer receive over 25 hours of in-service training in a variety of fields.  Training in the Lake County Adult Detention Facilities is multi-faceted. Through the training programming we seek to:

  1. Provide the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities essential to satisfactorily perform the employee’s job assignments
  2.  Provide a systematic and controlled means of change, increasing job knowledge, improving efficiency and reducing liability
  3. Keeping officers current with policy revisions, procedural updates, and new educational developments
