Streams

    Streams

The Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District has long recognized that streams are a very important resource in our county.   There are over 1500 unnamed headwater streams, approximately 30 named streams, and 2 rivers; that is a lot of streams to deal with. Visitors from all over have remarked at the beauty of our stream resources. Why devote so much effort at researching and conserving something that is so abundant in our area? I hope that exploring the streams section of our website will help you answer that question for yourself!
