The Following people are mandated reporters:

Attorneys
Physicians
Dentists
Nurses
Psychologists
Daycare Centers
Hospital Staff
Teachers
School Personnel
Social Workers
Counselors
Priest/Ministers
Health Care Professionals

They are mandated when:

• Acting in official capacity
  
• Knows or suspects that the child has suffered or faces a threat of a physical or mental wound, injury, disability, or condition that indicates child abuse or neglect
  
• Immediately report to children services or local police department

Mandated Reporters are able to find out the following information regarding the report that they made:

• If JFS has initiated investigation
  
• Whether JFS is continuing to investigate
  
• Whether JFS is otherwise involved
  
• General status of health and safety of child
  
• Whether report has resulted in filing in Juvenile and/or Criminal Court
