    The Lake County Law Library provides legal research, reference and library services to the county and to the municipal corporations, townships, and courts within the county pursuant to section 307.51 of the Ohio Revised Code.

     

    The Library is located in the lower level of the Lake County Courthouse in Painesville, Ohio. Patrons have access to a wide range of print and online resources. Our collection covers a variety of areas including federal, state, tax, family, probate, real estate, and labor law.

     

    The Library is available Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

    More than 3,000 high school students will enter courtrooms across the state on Friday to take part in the Ohio Center for Law-Related Education’s (OCLRE) 34th Annual Ohio Mock Trial Competition.
