    The Lake County Law Library provides legal research, reference and library services to the county and to the municipal corporations, townships, and courts within the county pursuant to section 307.51 of the Ohio Revised Code.

     

    The Library is located in the lower level of the Lake County Courthouse in Painesville, Ohio. Patrons have access to a wide range of print and online resources. Our collection covers a variety of areas including federal, state, tax, family, probate, real estate, and labor law.

     

    The Library is available Monday through Friday 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

    Middle School Students Bring Drama to Courtroom

    Teens will have their day in court when nearly 500 students from 32 middle schools will play a role in the 2017 Ohio Middle School Mock Trial State Showcase March, 24, 30, and 31 at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center.

    Morgan County to Host Ohio Supreme Court Session on April 6

    The Ohio Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Morgan County on April 6. The visit is part of the Supreme Court’s twice-a-year Off-Site Court program.

    Indian Hill High School Team Red (Hamilton County) defeated the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School-Legal Lions (Geauga County) to win the 34th annual high school Mock Trial state championship over the weekend.
