Who we are
The Lake County Juvenile Court has exclusive jurisdiction concerning any person under eighteen years old who is alleged to be a juvenile traffic offender, delinquent, unruly, abused, neglected, or dependent child. The Juvenile Court also has jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, non-support, contributing to the delinquency of minors, and failure to send children to school.
NOTICE REGARDING FILING FEE FOR CUSTODY, VISITATION, PARENTAGE FILINGSSenate Bill 177 becomes effective March 23, 2015. Among other things, the bill includes a change to RC 2303.201(C) that requires the Juvenile Court to collect an additional $15 filing fee in Custody, Visitation, and Parentage filings for the purpose of providing financial assistance to legal aid societies in the state.
