    CDBG/HOME Federal Grants Programs Public Meeting Notice - Thursday, March 16, 2017

     

    Lake County is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prepare a 5-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan to govern the use of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funds.  These funds must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons.  Per HUD regulation and the Lake County Citizen Participation Plan two public hearings will be held by the Lake County Planning and Community Development (P&CD) Office, serving as administrator of funds for the Lake County Board of Commissioners.  The purpose of the public hearings is to provide information and obtain public input.

    The first public hearing will take place on Friday Lake County is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prepare a 5-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan to govern the use of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funds.  These funds must primarily benefit low and moderate income persons.  Per HUD regulation and the Lake County Citizen Participation Plan two public hearings will be held by the Lake County Planning and Community Development (P&CD) office, serving as administrator of funds for the Lake County Board of Commissioners.  The purpose of the public hearings is to provide information and obtain public input.  , March 24th at 10:00 A.M. at the Lake County Department of Utilities Learning and Business Center (ULAB), 1981 Blase Nemeth Road, Painesville, Ohio.  This meeting will also serve as the mandatory Pre-Application briefing for the 2017 funding cycle (October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018).

    CDBG and HOME grant applications will be made available at this meeting.  Applications must be completed and returned by 4:00 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2017 to the P&CD office. 

    Information regarding federal grant project requirements, the application forms in use, and the necessary timing in place for this process will be provided.  During this development stage of the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan, the components of the Plans will be discussed and public comments will be solicited, including ideas regarding the community’s needs, resources, and priorities.

    Public Hearing Notice - LC Workforce Development Seeking Proposals for One-Stop Operator - Thursday, March 02, 2017

    PUBLIC NOTICE

    Notice is hereby given that the Lake County Workforce Development Board (LCWDB) is seeking proposals to provide the services of a One-Stop Operator for the Area 5 (Lake County) OMJ Comprehensive Career Center as specified by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Ohio Workforce Policy Letter No. 16-08.

    Proposals are being solicited for the operational period beginning July 1, 2017 and running through June 30, 2021.  This solicitation does not commit the LCWDB to award a contract or to pay costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal.  The LCWDB reserves the right to make an award to any bidder or to make no awards, if that is deemed to serve the best interests of the LCWDB and Area 5.
