Emerald Ash Borer Quarrantine

Since the last publication of CrosSection, Lake County has been included in the quarrantine area for Emerald Ash Borer.  While infestations have not been discovered in Lake County, it is now illegal to move ash trees, ash tree material and hardwood firewood out of Lake County into non-quarrantined counties without approval of the Agriculture Department.  For more information on the quarrantine, please visit the Ohio Department of Agriculture.  If you would like advice on how to treat an infested tree, please consult OSU Extension.
